This blog is self referencing?

everestHaving been asked many times about whether I was going to blog about my upcoming climb, I decided it was time to break down and start one. So that begs the question: what is my next climb? Well if things go according to plan I will be traveling to Nepal exactly 70 days to take part in the IMG expedition on Mount Everest. I depart on 4 April with a summit window from mid to late May. With luck, timing, and good mountaineering decision making I’ll be returning back to the states in early June with what I hope will be an amazing, if not mildly uneventful, story.

Now with the next climb introduced, let me set a few expectations for anyone who happens to still be reading. I having never blogged. I have never written a diary. I don’t use the Twitter. In fact, unless we are talking about boring corporate standards I can’t say I am all that great of a writer. However, I will do everything I can to make my blog like my dancing game: definitely not the flashiest on the floor but gets the job done without embarrassing myself too much.

Thanks for the read and for your support!

    1. I’m definitely going to do that. Not sure if I’ll post the “before” before I leave or if I’ll save it to post a side-by-side when I get back. Thanks for the read!

  1. You have to know that you’re carrying a lot of “vicarious” climbers with you. Thanks for that gift!! But as parents are proned to do, we’ll also worry the whole time you’re gone. I’m so proud of the maturity with which you’ve prepared yourself for this adventure, and the Morgan wanderlust that has survived to another generation.
